What is your investment style?

Understanding your risk tolerance and investment style will help you make better investment choices. Although people can make many different types of investments, there are actually only three specific investment styles-these three styles will suit your risk tolerance. The three investment styles are conservative, moderate, and aggressive.

Of course, if you find that you have a low risk tolerance, your investment style is likely to be conservative, or at best moderate. If you have a high tolerance for risk, you are likely to be a moderate or aggressive investor. At the same time, your financial goals also determine which investment style you use.

If you want to save for retirement in your early 20s, choose a conservative or moderate investment method-but if you want to raise money to buy a house in the next year or two, you need a radical investment method.

Conservative investors want to keep their initial investment. In other words, when you invest $5,000, you want to make sure that you get back the original $5,000. Such investors usually invest in common stocks and bonds and short-term money market accounts.

Interest-bearing savings accounts are very common among conservative investors.
Moderate investors usually invest in a similar way to conservative investors, but use some of their mutual funds for riskier investments. Many moderate investors invest 50% of their assets in safe or conservative investments, and the rest in higher-risk investments.

Radical investors are willing to take risks that other investors are not willing to take. They invest more money in riskier companies in order to obtain higher returns-either over time or in a short period of time. Aggressive investors often link all or most of their investment funds to stock exchanges.

Likewise, the decision on which investment style you will use will depend on your financial goals and risk tolerance. However, no matter what type of investment you make, you should study the investment carefully. Never invest without knowing all the facts!
