Samsung Galaxy M30s Review

Samsung Galaxy M30s Review – Smartphone with Jumbo 6000mAh Durable Battery After the competition for smartphones with large batteries in Indonesia, Samsung officially presented the Galaxy M30s in 2019.

This smartphone has the advantage of a jumbo battery that reaches 6,000 mAh. In addition, Samsung claims that the battery can be charged quite quickly thanks to the 15W fast charge function.

With the hardware specifications and functions, is the Samsung Galaxy M30s a mid-range smartphone that can keep up in the Rp 3 million range?

Samsung presented the Galaxy M30s in Indonesia. This device comes with a 6,000 mAh jumbo battery and three attractive rear view cameras.

Large capacity and long-lasting battery
Affordable prices
Good 3 camera support

NFC not available
The night mode function of the camera needs to be improved

To cut the price down to be affordable, the Galaxy M30s uses a plastic case that is packaged in three color options consisting of black, white and blue. The device I use is blue by the way.

The blue color presented on this smartphone is unique, like a combination of blue and green shades, the transitions of which can be seen vertically. There is also a sprinkling of shiny particles that adorn the rear body.

Although it uses a large capacity battery, the thickness of this smartphone only reaches 8.9mm. Unlike smartphones in the past, which had thick cases because the jumbo capacity battery was large.

It now weighs only 188 grams, and with this weight and thickness I can still use it comfortably in my daily activities. Most importantly, I can hold it with one hand for a long time thanks to the curved design on either side of the back.

However, it is easy to leave dust or fingerprints on the back of this smartphone. In other words, that smartphone user should embed an extra case to keep the rear body clean.

Unfortunately, Samsung does not include additional cases in the retail box for this product, so those of you who own or want to buy the Galaxy M30s can purchase additional cases from third-party suppliers that are widely available in online stores with different price options.

On the back there are three cameras and an LED flash that is integrated into the box housing. While the fingerprint sensor and the Samsung logo are placed in the middle.

On the front there is a selfie camera with a water drop design, which is located at the very top of the screen. On the sides there are power buttons, volume, separate SIM + microSD card slot, 3.5 mm audio port, USB Type-C, microphone and loudspeaker.

The Samsung Galaxy M30s screen appears flat, filling the front, and the left and right frames aren’t too big. While the bezel is smaller at the top, that’s thanks to the water-drop shaped pony used to embed the selfie camera.

This smartphone has a screen that can be considered large as it is up to 6.4 inches wide with Full HD + resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels) and brightness of up to 420 nits. The on-screen Super AMOLED technology can display content brightly and sharply.

Even this technology allows me to display content even in the hot sun. Much like today’s smartphones, the Galaxy M30s screen has blue light filter support, which Samsung claims can protect users’ eyes from blue light radiation.

Following the current trend, the Galaxy M30s also has three rear cameras that have various functions to make the user creative in creating interesting photos.

This smartphone uses the One UI 1.5 interface system, which is based on the Android 9 Pie operating system. Compared to Samsung Experience UI, the interface of One UI 1.5 looks tidier and is arranged with a large font size so that I can see the menu more easily.

While there is a bit of bloatware in this interface system, Samsung’s standard applications, which are sometimes not used at all, won’t bother you too much. Interestingly, you can remove this bloatware if you don’t need it at all.

When I navigate and move applications, One UI 1.5 can respond well to my touch. You could say that this interface system is at the transfer

ng from one application to another is easy to the touch.

The fingerprint sensor on the back of this smartphone can On the front there is a selfie camera with a resolution of 16 MP plus an aperture of f / 2.0, which is able to produce selfie photos with interesting variations. I can do normal selfies, beauty effects and bokeh effects (blurred background).

Of all the functions offered, the Galaxy M30s has two advantages in my opinion, which are long battery life and the support of three rear cameras with different functions.

The performance that this device offers is quite powerful for the mid-range size. While the fingerprint sensor can react quickly to my fingerprints even though the surface is almost parallel to the back.

In order to keep up with other mid-range smartphones in Indonesia, Samsung is presenting the Galaxy M30s at a low price of IDR 3,299,000. This smartphone is for those of you who are looking for a smartphone with a long battery life, but with means that won’t blow your pocket.

Unfortunately, this smartphone has to lose the NFC sensor despite the large battery. Nevertheless, the Galaxy M30s has good equipment for a mid-range device.
